The Offering

The medicines we work with are allies in consciousness. When approached in a good way, in a right way, they support access to our own life force, activating the inner healing intelligence that reorganises, clears distortion, and brings us back into relationship with wholeness.

We understand these medicines not as tools, but as part of the intelligence of life itself. Offerings to humanity at a time of significant shift in consciousness. We work through an animistic lens, relating to these medicines as living, aware presences, each with their own integrity and orientation.

With this comes responsibility. And humility. To work with these medicines is not casual. It is a privilege. We meet them with respect, and in doing so, we align with their movement towards truth, towards love, towards light. Towards healing.

Mushroom “Sibling” Medicine is held within a carefully structured therapeutic and ceremonial container. We work with it as a powerful amplifier of the psyche — bringing unconscious material into awareness, making available what has been held beneath the surface. The space is guided with clear intention, including the calling in of directions, guardians and supportive forces. We honour the land we are on, and the land the medicine comes from, recognising the relational field in which this work takes place.

Amazonian “Grandmother” Medicine is held in direct relationship with the Huni Kuin people of Acre in Brazil. We have been in ongoing study and connection with this lineage and their medicines. It is a deep honour to welcome Huni Kuin pagés and majés - who carry the ancestral knowledge of this medicine - to lead and guide the ceremonies. Their presence ensures the work is held within its original lineage, with integrity, respect and continuity.



These are not interchangeable experiences. Each medicine carries its own intelligence, its own demands, its own gifts. Both require - and reward - genuine preparation and genuine presence.

‍The land is integral to the work.

Whether we are in Europe or Costa Rica, we work in direct relationship with the earth's energy, intelligence and wisdom. The land holds us. It transmutes what is heavy, what is stuck, what has been carried for generations. The earth has the capacity to metabolise what the human nervous system cannot process alone.

We work with the spirit of place — the land itself, the animals that inhabit it, the lineage of the earth in that location. In Costa Rica, the jungle's density and intelligence offer a particular kind of holding. The body recognises something in that aliveness before the mind can name it. Being genuinely in relationship with the land — not as observers, but as participants in its ecosystem — loosens what is held tight and makes the inner landscape more available.



The earth's wisdom informs every layer of the work. Nature teaches what we cannot learn in rooms. The land receives what we release. It shows us how to metabolise, transform, move energy through and out. This is not metaphorical. The earth is a living, conscious participant in the healing that happens here.



Nature is woven through every retreat. It is not incidental. It is essential.

Many spaces can open experience. Fewer can hold what follows. For The Journey this is what we offer.

Through carefully structured immersion, we guide participants through layered processes that include breathwork, ceremony, relational process, embodiment practices and integration work. We hold our ceremonial spaces with both humility and precision. As psychotherapists, we take responsibility for creating a container that is deeply attuned to the body, the nervous system and the psyche. At the same time, we recognise the limits of holding from a purely human or psychological frame.

This work asks to be held beyond just this realm. When we open ceremonial space, we consciously call in support from the unseen. We invite helping spirits, allies beyond this dimension, the lineages through which these medicines have been carried, and the intelligence of the natural world. We call in animal spirits, nature spirits, galactic support from star nations, the elemental spirits- fire, water, earth and air- the guiding presences that support the integrity of the work.

Calling in the directions anchors the space in time and place. It establishes the energetic container, and creates the conditions for these supporting forces to be present and active within the field.

We do not see this as optional. It is a necessary part of how this work is held.

To work only with what is visible is to work partially. We are in relationship with both the seen and the unseen, and we honour both with care, clarity and respect.

We do not see healing as separate from reality, nor awakening as separate from relationship, trauma, attachment or embodiment. Our role is to hold a container where both can exist, honestly and without bypassing.
